The place and its history
A quiet place of prayer
In Episkopi, this chapel is dedicated to Saint Spyridon the Wonderworker, the Cypriot Bishop of Trimythous.
Its simple stone exterior and small bell tower give the chapel its distinctive character. Inside, the icons and iconostasis create a setting for contemplation and prayer.
The saint and his feast
Saint Spyridon the Wonderworker
Saint Spyridon was born in Cyprus and lived with simplicity and humility. He was a shepherd before becoming Bishop of Trimythous and took part in the First Ecumenical Council at Nicaea in 325.
The Church commemorates him on 12 December, when our chapel also celebrates its annual feast.
