The church and its parish

At the heart of Episkopi

In the central square of Episkopi, the Church of Saint Paraskevi is the main place of worship for our parish.

The Divine Liturgy, church services and sacraments are celebrated here. The community gathers in prayer and honours Saint Paraskevi the Venerable Martyr, to whom the church is dedicated.

The saint and her feast

Saint Paraskevi the Venerable Martyr

Saint Paraskevi was born in Rome to Christian parents. She devoted her life to Christ and to preaching the Gospel, endured persecution and was martyred for her faith.

The Church commemorates her on 26 July, when our parish in Episkopi also celebrates its annual feast.
