Church of Saint Paraskevi, Episkopi

The parish Church of Saint Paraskevi stands in the central square of Episkopi. It is the principal place of worship for the parish, where the faithful gather for the Divine Liturgy, the sacred services and the mysteries of the Church.

Saint Paraskevi the Virgin-Martyr was born in Rome to Christian parents. After their repose, she distributed her possessions to the poor and devoted herself to preaching Christ. She endured persecution and martyrdom for her faith and was finally beheaded. The Church commemorates her on 26 July.

Every year on 26 July the parish celebrates the memory of Saint Paraskevi the Virgin-Martyr and asks for her intercessions before the Lord.
