Church of Kalou Poimenos (Church of the Good Shepherd)
“Εγώ ειμί ο ποιμήν ο καλός. Ο ποιμήν ο καλός την ψυχήν αυτού τίθησιν υπέρ των προβάτων.” (“I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”) With this promise of Christ, the story of this church begins.
The new church of the Good Shepherd is under construction in Episkopi. It is not simply a new building. It is the testimony of a community that is growing, that is investing in its faith and that wants to leave something for the next generations. Just as our forebears did with Agios Ermogenis and Agia Paraskevi, so we do today.
The Good Shepherd leaves no one outside. This church will be open to every member of our community. For Sunday liturgies, feast days, the holy mysteries and the moments when we need to be together before God.
