EPI Churches is a digital platform that showcases and supports four significant churches in and around Episkopi, Cyprus. This initiative was born out of a deep respect for local heritage and Orthodox tradition and the need to give these sacred sites a meaningful online presence in the modern world.
We bring together six sacred parishes under one digital home:
- Church of Agiou Ermogeni
- Church of Agia Paraskevi
- Church Kalou Poimenos (The Good Shepherd)
- Church of Agiou Spyridona
- Community of Kalos Poimin
- Community of Saint Spyridon – Episkopi
Each of these churches and communities represents a unique chapter in the region’s spiritual and cultural life—together, they form the living heart of Orthodox Christian tradition in Episkopi.
Why This Project Was Created
Cyprus is home to centuries-old churches deeply rooted in local and Orthodox identity. However, many of these places remain hidden to the wider public, lack a structured digital presence, and struggle to fund ongoing maintenance or outreach. This initiative was created to change that.
Through this platform, we aim to:
- Make each church accessible to both locals and international visitors through dedicated pages, rich visuals, and historical insights
- Digitally preserve their stories for future generations
- Enable transparent online donations, making it easy for supporters to contribute to church renovations, outreach, and upkeep
- Create an online eShop with carefully selected Orthodox products, with proceeds supporting each church
- Provide space for updates, reflections, and community news through a blog and announcements area
Offer content in English, Greek, and Russian, reflecting the diverse audience that engages with Cyprus as both home and destination
A Collaborative Effort
This platform was made possible by close collaboration between developers, historians, community members, clergy, and designers — all working toward one goal: giving these churches a voice in the modern world.

Our Vision Moving Forward
We don’t just want to showcase these churches — we want to support them. As this project grows, we plan to:
- Expand the digital features for each church
- Launch dedicated fundraising campaigns
- Add audio, video, and guided content
- Encourage community participation and sharing
- Build a model that can be expanded to other churches across Cyprus
